lately I've been therapy shopping. I'm not sure how effective it is, when the aftermath is "sort of short on dough".
was I in a better place before or after?
here's what I snagged!
abandon night chiffon OP
pistachio limoge trinket box
-to add to my other two!
timbee lo rabbit ring
I could not leave the store with out this!
I will post a better close up picture soon! the rabbit has gold eyeliner too!!
3 dear Celine blouses
I've waiting years for the long sleeve, high collar and bow chiffon blouse forever! I always missed out when it was available etcetc
I also got the princess sleeved chiffon blouse too, it looks amazing with my antique dress!
dream bouncy blush by maybelline
I've always wanted the maybelline mouse foundation but after hours of trying "again", they just dont have my color.. fml
I'm in love with the consistency of the product and it has decent coverage for a drug store make up.
I left with two blushes
The O by cloud nine
my new hot roller velcro set that doesn't burn my fingers off!!
it works ok so far, I haven't gotten the hang of sectioning my own hair the right way yet. If only I had an extra set of hands and eyes! for now, I am attempting to achieve Victoria secret runway hair. no success as you can see =(
coconut sambal egg
tiny and dimly lit restaurant with exotic Indonesian decor. staff are pleasant and quiet. the background music is I think their traditional music. it is very magical? mythical? cute?and sort of hypnotic sound !
the food is amazing, there are just not enough words to describe. to have known I have missed out for so many years. this little gem!
there's something exotic about this deviled egg! ;)
Rotti (not in picture)
pan fried flat bread with curry
it was that good! gone before I could take a picture
dry curry beef brisket with potato
mouth wateringly delicious!
made in house
they took a long time to to serve this to me. I'm not sure why, but it was worth it !
(maybe its made to order)
super fresh !

surprised by a cute little tea place, some far away place!
this modern café, has many locals patrons(from what I gather)
The red velvet (pillow)
red velvet cake with mascarpone encased in white chocolate, awkward and too sweet to eat, however the inside was creamy smooth very tasty!
I'm not sure why I ordered this, I initially wanted the Madame.
but mmm.. it's very good! perfect breakfast all in one!
their macarons are not bad
from top to bottom
vanilla, pistachio, salted caramel, bacon, chocolate?
-the batch for the salted caramel was baked perfectly!
C.C. Violin Patisserie and Cafe
1564 marine dr west van
recently just opened! they serve bakery goods, cupcakes, and afternoon tea.
they also sell a variety of adorable minature food earrings made by a local artist!
lastly they have this tea I've been looking for last year! it is conveniently packaged in small tube (like Starbucks via instant coffee) and the bottom is perforated for tea to be steeped immediately !
this would be the second time I've been here, and i decided to bring my friend Monica, for a late night tea date =D
I'm glad this place opens late! (late being 7pm and sometimes 12am)
it's really hard sometimes when I work 10-6, and I can't make it for tea, cute places like these usually close by 5?6?! so I'm glad there is a lovely place for my enjoyment!
because they're newly opened I can't really say much
-the decor is beautiful
- the showcase is quite empty
- staff are really nice
- cupcakes are so/so but very pretty and unique flavors (perhaps mine sat to long in the display because it was crusty)
-coffee is not great
-has a good tea selection !

I'm not sure if I have ever written about trattoria. Im sure I have mentioned this place before.
The very first time I went, landed on pasta Tuesday's ($10 pasta day). It was very delicious!!
After about a year or year end I went again and found all the pasta not edible. I'm not sure how the could serve such an embarrassment to customers. My (then Kobe) meat balls were dry like shredded paper. My friends seafood dish for the life of me tasted and reeked like nasty rotten egg fart. (apparently something about the chef left to other restaurant in alberni)
Anyways it's been years since and I miss my first experience there.
This time around I met up with Traci, I am very happy to find that the food has returned to its own standard.
The menu has changed quite a bit!
Kobe is no wagyu? Meat ball and spaghetti
- if you plan to take half of it home (because you could not finish) do not puncture the meat ball with your fork or eat half a meat ball (simply because you were bored waiting for others to finish), because!!
The next morning when you microwave it, it will be very dry! Versus the ones you did not touch.
