Wildrose D-tox finale part 4

ext day 10 06082013
if you couldn't tell by my last post about day 10, I was getting very upset. luckily my day got better! My dear friend successfully cheered me up with dinner.
baked potatoes and tomatoes, kale chips, pan fried cod? and a lamb kabob. I felt much better!
I didn't cheat today but I forgot my morning dosage dam it!

to further up lift me today, she made me a muffin with ingredients which I am allowed to eat.
some sort of brown rice flour cinnamon crumbly muffin thing, which is really good with apple sauce! almost taste like .. apple crumble!

and yes! I cheated today I had sushi (has a little vinager)

Dream Sushi Japanese Restaurant
4401 Maint st Vancouver
pretty good sushi with perfectly cooked brown rice!
I wouldn't order anything but sushi/ sashimi there

I visited Leafy box again for a healthy snack around lunch time.

I sort of cheated at dinner time with a few small cubes of tofu at the foundation!
it's another vegetarian place with cheap eats.

a must have. there and I always love it is cereal salad and nanchos.

their nachos are awesome, you wouldn't know it was vegetarian too!
however they are a hit or miss, we had a tomato stew on quinoa. it tasted great and I was fine but my friend not so fine.

The Foundation
2301 Main St Vancouver

finally last day and I totally cheated. I only have a morning dosage because of the one I missed on day 10.
in the early afternoon I had a Japanese lunch combo. which would have been perfect if it was not for the vinager they put in the salad, or the teriyaki on the chicken and burnt sugar water on a soya milk pudding.
*sigh* I tried to avoid as much as I could.
then I tried to balance it back out and bought a juice... apple beats and kale?

Stay tuned for the final verdict and weight in!

Wildrose D-tox part 3

Day 8 06062013
I feel like I'm cracking a little I'm tired of having quinoa. I'm also very upset today because that awesome Indian place sold out of brown rice I couldn't have anything ( I want a little rice to feel full) of course I could have white rice but I'm only allowed 20% of that and I would like to spend quota on meat.

Today I cheated.
I went to white spot for dinner. Here is the part that angers me. I ordered salmon fillet burger with no sauces or bun and a dry salad. As my dear friend gobbled up a Monty mushroom burger with fries!
Where did I cheat today?
I had some fries
I also managed to get a small small smear of mayo on A FRY.
AND managed to get smidgen of the patty and I mean a smidgen like fingernail full.

Anyhow.. After eating healthy for 8 days so far.. I get cravings. I just didn't really fulfilled it, but you feel gross after, feels like your insides got cling filmed and your face immediately becomes oily. It feels like even though you fulfilled it sort of... it doesn't feel very worth it. I just feel gross.

Maybe this is a very good weight loss program. Being that, this helps you balance your diet better. For example eat less red meat, eat more greens. Now a days society, is honestly...starving themselves nutritionally.
The after math of this diet is that i finally become health conscious. I realize how much junk I've eatened and how I feel about it afterwards and what it does to my body. I can cheat when I'm off their herbal pills, I'll enjoy the duration of my cheating but my insides feel better eating something else.

some people balloon back or worst to their old self, I see that this detox gives you a slight safety net.

You are clean after this detox, and when you re enter back into the world. Some things won't taste the same anymore. You can push through the "sick cling filmed feeling" and continue eating junk and revert back to your old self. Or you can take heed the bad feeling your body is giving you and eat what you should be eating for your body (and please cheat every so often)

Day 9 06072013

I'm feeling okay today I still feel yesterday's after math. Still feeling very gross. I notice I have been sleeping better, and I wake up feeling more energized.

Today I am sick of quinoa mixed with herbs cucumbers tomatoes and lemon juice. Even though I have some I'm not eating it today.

Cheated again, how severe? I'm not certain.
I had 2 pieces of shumai.
Which may have mushrooms but I didn't taste any.

I ordered a lemon tea thinking that's my best choice in a menu chalk full of things I'm not allowed to eat and then realize its black tea.

Be aware
Black tea has a fermentating process.
Do not eat any fermented foods.

I'm almost done. I honestly hate rice cakes. It's like eating styrofoam. I tried to dress it up with almond Butter it's not working =(

Maybe tomorrow I'll put some sliced apples and almond butter on the crappy piece of styrofoam.

I can't wait for this to be over!!!
I cheated again today and had a dribble of simple syrup in my soy latte. Dribble!!! NOT drizzle!
I do feel a little depressed from not eating anything yummy =(

So many " I's"
I'm full of it.

Wild Rose d-tox - part 2

Day 5 06032013
Today I tried almond butter for the very first time! It taste a lot better the peanut.
I've recently got my friend on the detox too!
I think there is improvement ! My pants are falling off haha but! These pants were sort of loose to begin with =(

Day 6 06042013
Today's smoothie is blueberry apple kale. It was passable.
I had the worst absolutely THE worst sushi ever at kiso island restaurant.I forgot to read the reviews.

I have discovered a wonderful little market in yaletown!
Leafy box market and juice shop.
They make fresh juice but that's not new news, many places do that. They're special because they are not only fresh they source almost everything locally =D!
Anyways I always find these sort of things expensive and not worth it (fresh pressed juiced), no matter,at that moment I needed smth to drink desperately. I ordered a apple, celery and parsley mix.
They chopped one apple and and filled the rest with greens. I was now amazed that, for the price of $5.?? You get a Starbucks grande size cup of fresh pressed juice with no water or ice fillers in it. holy!!! That was a lot of celery and parsley! That made it so much more worth it!
If you want to try it and I highly suggest it

Leafy Box
1155 Pacific Blvd. Vancouver, BC, Canada

If you're on the detox
Don't forget you cannot consume tropical fruits because of high sugar content
Aside from that I would like to say i like to buy my kale from Choices market on cambie st. That is because, it is very fresh crisp and pruned. There are some places that sell kale sort of half wilted, very dirty and doesn't last very long, etcetc

Day 7 06052013
Today is the worst day of my program.
If you are going to do this detox make sure it doesn't coincide with your period.
It is stated from the beginning that you will be tired during the detox because the build up of toxins are being released. There for you may want to refrain from exercising unless you have the energy.

I couldn't do much. It was tired on tired. Plus a sore lower back =(
I was complete zapped. I felt better in the afternoon but zapped my energy when I took long leisure walk.

Also I cheated again by accident I ate 3 shiitake mushrooms!
I forgot >_<... I just remember that most vegetables are suppose to be good!

Be aware mushrooms have candida yeast on it
Not that it'll kill you but it doesn't help the detox when you're body is trying to let it go of toxins and you're adding to it

On a positive note I have come up with a new delicious smoothie recipe =D

Carrot apple kale
5?6? Thin sticks of organic carrots (scrawny looking ones)
1 stalk of kale
1/2 gala apple
1/3 cup ish water

** pulsate with bullet before blending to smooth-ness

I also found another interesting local organic market =D

Organic Acres Market
3603 Main st Vancouver BC Canada

The highlight for this place is not just because everything is organic but they have what I need for this detox IF I were to bake
They carry quinoa and brown rice flour

And organic butter for a hefty price ( was surprised I didn't find any at whole foods)

diet snacks

too bad I'm not that cute stuffing my face with rice cakes
thankfully I can't seem eat more then 2

now on to organic unsweetened apple sauce!
*cry*

Wildrose d-tox

I've considered this for about year and half. I watched my dear friend go through it and it really change her daily diet. She use to eat almost 80% meat.
With this detox
you are allowed to eat 20% meat
No sugar/dairy/flour/fermented foods/peanuts
There is a list to follow what you can and cannot eat.

I followed the diet instructions in a relax way (I had a little yogurts today that's okay..) for a week before the detox started and make sure I could go through with it.

And the day before i start I got seduced by a package of instant noodles (I felt sick afterwards)
Half a jar of chocolate, 2 packages of seaweed and another instant cup noodle @_@... These drugs are telling me to go back to them!

Day 1 05302013
I felt like complete shit I also forgot to eat the pills before dinner time AND I forgot my drops at work.
I cheated today and had (and this is the truth) a few drops of soy sauce. Its not allowed because its fermented =( but how can I have sushi or sashimi with out just a little ?
And now that i think of it... The sushi rice has vinegar.. (vinegar is a fermented item)

Day 2 05312013
I bought very delicious couscous salad with seared sirloin. Feeling very proud of finding and choosing something tasty.
lots of tummy aches around 630pm I think the colon detox is happening
>_<...
Also realized I need some snacks that I'm allowed to eat any amount of
Found out about brown rice cakes (eww) and apple sauce
I forgot to eat my dosage before dinner so I had it later >_<

Beware
Couscous is not a grain but pasta =(.. It tasted so good though...
Pasta is not allowed during this detox.
I didn't know!! I thought it was along te same line as quinoa!!!!

Day 3 06012013
I'm feeling better today. I realize quinoa tasted very good with roasted vegetables, a little bit of corn and grilled salmon!
I found out today, Granville island market at one of the stalls has excellent quinoa, mixed ith herbs and vegetables.
I think if I had some baked salmon with dill, lemon and butter on this quinoa it will taste amazing!
out of my happiness in finding nasty brown rice cakes yesterday I forgot to look at the ingredient list.I picked seaweed flavor because I'm allowed seaweed. Tasted pretty good. I totally take back how nasty it is... Now today when I look at this I realize there is soy sauce. FML is soy sauce trying to haunt me or something?!

Day 4 06022013
I'm actually feeling even better today with exception of some mental stress from noisy irritating people at work
I do feel like I have more energy. I must have been very congested (so they say) I feel very clear and clean.
I'm starting to also notice my cravings aren't suppressed but nearly non existent. Yesterday mom was eating chips, I wanted some and opted out next thing you know it was out of my mind.
My daily coffee intake is going down. Sometimes I feel like I don't really need it but I take it a shot of espresso anyways. It's very discouraging when you can't have sugar or milk in it.

Here is my daily routine so far
